Lighter, sharper handling, with an all-new frame, more compact body and improved smartphone tuneability, the new generation YZ250F is ready to continue a legacy of dominance in the 250 class.

A revised rear suspension linkage and updated shock settings enhance stability and traction feel in a wide variety of riding situations. To match the rear linkage revision, front suspension settings have also been updated including incorporating delta-shaped piston shims providing calmer front-end behavior and improved rider comfort.

A new handlebar switchbox now incorporates an updated raised rib design to help the rider avoid pressing the wrong button while wearing gloves.

The new, lighter aluminum foot peg bracket has a revised shape to enhance rider ergonomics.

Underneath its sharp, aggressive YZ styling lies the most refined, balanced and competition-ready motorcycle in the 250 class. Its light, compact chassis offers exceptional handling feel, a more comfortable riding position and best-in-class KYB® suspension. Its renowned 250cc four-stroke engine churns out exhilarating power across the rev range, and combined with Yamaha's advanced next-generation Power Tuner App, offers a level of tunability the competition can't match.

Featuring a high-spec piston, aggressive cam profiles and forward positioned intake cylinder head layout, the YZ250F's advanced four-stroke engine is known for its broad, useable powerband and class-leading low-end and mid-range torque.

An advanced aluminum bilateral beam frame based on the flagship YZ450F provides just the right amount of strength and flex for the perfect balance of stability and cornering performance. The result is a better handling machine with lightweight feel and increased front wheel traction, allowing the rider to enter corners with greater confidence and more line choices.

The YZ250F's liquid-cooled, DOHC 4-valve, fuel-injected powerplant features a forward-positioned straight downdraft intake with symmetrical intake ports, high-spec piston and aggressive cam profiles. The advanced four-stroke engine is known for its broad, useable powerband and class-leading low-end and mid-range torque.

A forged piston features a bridge-box design for maximized strength with minimal weight. The piston, rings and DLC-coated piston pin, along with the offset cylinder configuration, all reduce friction loss. Intake ports, cam profiles, high-strength connecting rod, optimized crank and counter-balancer all work together to produce potent high-rpm power with user-friendly delivery and exceptional reliability.

The adjustable fuel injection system uses a 44mm throttle body, fed by a high-pressure electric fuel pump, to inject fuel through a 12-hole Denso® injector. This ensures optimum fuel atomization and air/fuel calibration for excellent rideability in a wide range of riding conditions.
