About Us

My dad, Dick Green, has been a trusted name in the farm equipment business for five decades. After returning home from his military duty in the Army and a stint in Viet Nam in 1971, dad and my grandpa (Bill) began to sell tractors and farm equipment doing business as Green and Son Farm Equipment. Green and Son originally started at the home location on St. Rt. 665, east of London. Dad and grandpa sold used tractors and implements there. They also sold new equipment such as, Black Manufacturing, McCurdy, Cobey, HICO, and Raydees.

In the late 1980's Green and Son moved most of the inventory to U.S. 42, north of London. This is where dad and his two sisters owned and operated Tri-Green Auction. I went to work for Green & Son full time in 1990. In the spring of 2000, I became part owner of the newly formed Green and Sons, Ltd. As we continued to grow, we moved Green and Sons, Ltd. back to the "home place" on St. Rt. 665. We sold many tractors and implements from a variety of manufacturers back at the original location, but it was getting harder and harder to find good quality used tractors to meet the demand.

The dwindling supply of quality used tractors led us to seek a line of brand new tractors to sell. Kubota was the first and obvious choice for us. In order to accommodate Kubota, we needed a larger facility. With the need for expansion, we moved Green and Sons, Ltd. to our current location just off of I-71 on St. Rt. 56 near Mount Sterling. We had our grand opening at this location in June of 2007, where we offered new and used equipment as before, plus the exceptional line of Kubota tractors, RTV’s, and mowers. We were also fortunate enough to add Ex-Mark zero turns in December of 2007. We also added the full line of Husqvarna zero-turn mowers, riding tractors, and handheld products a few years later. These brands are a huge part of the reason we have been successful and grown over the years. That growth eventually led to us opening more locations.

In 2015 we acquired White-Acres Equipment, a long-time family business in Hilliard. We kept that store open until we acquired our permanent second location in Union County. On April 2nd of 2018 we opened our permanent second location and merged the Hilliard store there at the end of 2018. It is 7 miles north of Marysville on St.Rt.347 in Marysville, Ohio. At this store we have Kubota Tractors, RTV’s, Skid Steer Loaders, and Hay Implements in addition to a full line of Ferris Zero-Turn Mowers. My son, Peyton Green, runs this location. He and his staff love meeting your tractor and equipment sales, parts, and service needs.

We have grown over the years with more products to offer you and more employees to serve you. We remain a family owned and operated business, which is getting rare in today’s world. We still try our very best to treat you the way you would like to be treated and offer high quality products at excellent prices.
