...that Gensco is pleased to announce the appointment of Charles "Chuck" Lindzy as General Manager, GENSCO Aircraft Tires, Houston, Texas. Lindzy began his career in 1965 with Airtreads Division-Goodyear Aerospace, Los Angeles. His experience includes all phases of aircraft tire retread production, culminating with Goodyear as manager of both the Los Angeles and Dallas tire plants. For the past five years he has worked in sales directed to agricultural applications for aircraft tires. Lindzy's appointment reflects several refinements at Gensco. These include a seasonal sales force whose combined experience exceeds more than 50 years in aircraft and agricultural tires, and a significantly larger tire inventory for various farm equipment applications. Primary focus remains on Gensco's tradition of service. "Our expanded management team is ready with the fast, efficient service that our customers expect." ....that Gensco's success is the result of thousands of customers who are willing to try new things. Thank You! Because of you we have created new applications and opportunities. Manufacturers such as Rhino, Bush Hog, Woods, and John Deere now are using aircraft tires as standard equipment on new implement lines. This is partially based on Gensco's pioneering efforts and or continued success in replacing ordinary implement tires with high-quality, durable tires.
...that nearly 35 years ago, Gensco developed a method of timming and buffing that removes one bead from each side of heavy-ply aircraft tires so that they will mount on regular, one piece drop center implement wheels. This makes it possible to use many sizes of aircraft tires for agricultural applications without the cost of new wheels.

...that the policy of shipping tires to farmers on open account continues to produce satisfied customers and a collection rate of 99 percent for GENSCO Aircraft Tires. ...that regular implement tires are made from inexpensive synthetic rubber blends. How many farm tires have you had dry rot and crack before you wore them out? Aircraft tires are made with superior natural rubber blends. While these after years of service will have wear, they won't crack and fall aprat like regular farm implement tires. (Note: We know of scrapers with 56SC aircraft tires that are still in service. These tires were last produced in 1968!)
