AGCO approached Agri-Service in 2012 requesting their need for smaller dealer networks. This led to conversations with The Terteling Company, owner of Western States Equipment, about a possible acquisition of Agri-Service. Incorporated in 1933, Western Equipment Company enjoys a strong legacy that can be traced back nearly 100 years. In 1956, Western Equipment was awarded the Caterpillar dealership service area for southern Idaho and changed their name to Western States Equipment Company. The Terteling Company officially acquired Agri-Service in October 2013 and through its various companies, has deep roots that continue to expand throughout the Northwest. This strategic partnership allows Agri-Service to represent all AGCO brands, including Challenger, RoGator and TerraGator in every one of its locations.
Agri-Service continues to be honored as one of the largest AGCO dealerships in North America supplying the hard working farmers with Massey Ferguson, Hesston, Gleaner, Challenger, RoGator, TerraGator, etc. Other major equipment lines sold and serviced includes Kubota, Manitou, and Stinger. Agri-Service for several years running has been the largest seller of DARF Rakes, and has recently been named the number one DARF retailer in the world.
